If you’re looking for a place to eat before a show at the Pabst Theatre put this place on your list. We were a group of 4 and we each tried something different. Everything was excellent! Rum runner cocktails, Spring rolls, Hunan beef, Mongolian beef, garlic chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The owner Robert was our server and he was the nicest guy! He made us feel welcome and told us all about his restaurant. He has been open here for 30 years and no wonder. Great food and friendly staff, we will definitely be back! Thank you Robert!

Traveled to Milwaukee for a trade show and did some walking for the right place to eat. I am SO happy that I came across this place! Charming host, authentic, old school atmosphere and excellent food. I ordered the beef with orange peel special and a house mai tai and all hit the spot! The hot and sour soup was truly wonderful as well.

We arrived after walking around Milwaukee in the cold. Nothing in the area was open since it was 8:30. We walked into an almost empty restaurant and it was a bit eerie. However, shortly one of the cooks came out to greet us and had us sit. Eventually I believe the owner (and older Asian gentleman) came out to greet us and take our order. All my worries were set aside. He was so sweet and funny. He made the ambiance feel welcoming even on a cold empty night. Service was top notch. The food was flavorful. It felt like it was cooked at a home kitchen at someone’s Chinese aunts house. My only grip

Be aware that anything on the menu that says “Crab” is mock (imitation) crab. Waiter was not to be found. Waited over 15 minutes for check. Chow Fun was very good. Very clean new bathrooms.
