Farm to table food that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, in Santa Fe? That was such a pleasant surprise. The spectacularly flavorful food is housed off of The Plaza in a renovated home turned restaurant/provisions space. We were escorted upstairs, with no reservation on a Saturday evening, possibly due to the local fiesta going on, but we were skeptical at first. We got some amazing window seating with a fresh breeze flowing the aromas of the house around, and we were enticed by the unique menu offerings. What a cute cafe. We enjoyed the house spreads and tinned fish with the house made crackers on the back patio. Their little store is really nice too with yummy looking food and fun gift items. The only issue was the cava was not good.

An underrated dinner spot. I've come here twice for dinner and each time the quality of food has been astounding. The shrimp and green onion risotto is my favorite. The salads are a delight for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The polenta, lamb, and fish dishes are also excellent. My only note would be the feta pistachio spread in the appetizer is too salty, but still yummy. I appreciate the selection of non alcoholic drinks that have a lot of depth and layers.

I had the pleasure of dining at La Mama for dinner with my family and it was an absolute joy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service was extremely attentive. Our host was knowledgeable about the menu, the source of ingredients and how the food is prepared. Everyone (all 6 of us) absolutely loved their dinner. I had the kale salad which was delicious and a very ample portion. We also had focaccia, oysters, lamb burgers among other delicious menu items. All of the deserts were amazing. Definitely a five star experience!
