Nice clean place with good food and service. I had a bowl of chilli with a cornbread muffin. The chilli was good and not too spicy. The cornbread muffin was superb. My wife had the chicken sausage with scrambled eggs which she liked. They had gluten free bread for the toast. We were a group of 11 and the food was served nearly concurrently. Atmosphere is comfortable and clean.

Black Bear Diner is a family favorite for us. On a solo trip to Yuma, I stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening. I ordered the all you can eat fish and chips that's on the menu this time of year. (Maybe it's on every Friday.) I substituted clam chowder and sweet potato fries for my sides. There was a slight up charge for sweet potato fries. The menu describes the fish as "lightly breaded". I received large pieces of fish (nice) with very heavy breading (not so nice). The breading was so heavy, I could peel it off in big chunks. There was some fish inside the breading. Rolled in and Jacob greeted us like we were old friends — dude’s got mad people skills. Grabbed a spot at the breakfast bar, and boom — coffee hot and ready before we even blinked. Solid start to the morning. The food? Unreal. Fresh, flavorful, cooked just right — you can taste the care in every bite. Vicki, the GM, even came over to vibe with us and break down everything they’ve offer catering wise. That kind of personal touch? Rare these days. I had a fantastic experience with my waiter Corina ! She was super attentive always there right when we needed something. She knew the menu inside and out and gave some really great recommendations. Plus, her friendly attitude really made the whole meal enjoyable. Definitely top-notch service!
