Traveling through Salzburg, we stumbled into Nagano and ended up having one of our favorite meals of the trip. We've been having lots of meat and haven't had much seafood the past few days. There's something special about finding a place where the food feels both comforting and beautifully crafted, and Nagano delivered that in every dish. The Unadon was quite unforgettable -- tender, smokey, and deeply flavorful, this bowl was tied for the standout dish of the evening! This is our favourite Japanese restaurant in Salzburg and probably whole Austria. They have a great choice of Japanese foods and drinks, as well as good Austrian beers. The staff is very friendly and helpful,... smiling while serving. That's what makes this a positive place to be. The prices are acceptable and compared to the quality, very OK. If you had enough of schnitzels and want good shusi or other Japanese food, I really recommend Nagano.

A lovely place with very good food, I would definitely come back! Gyoza with that crust was a really nice touch, sushi was super fresh, and the wagyu katsu sando... it is a must - so tender and delicious! The place was packed on a Monday evening, now I know why.

We visited Nagano for my wife’s birthday dinner, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant has such a cozy atmosphere that made the evening feel really special. The food was excellent — the dumplings were absolutely delicious, and the sushi was fresh and full of flavor. The service was also great, with friendly and attentive staff throughout our visit. If you’re looking for a cozy spot in Salzburg with great Japanese food, I would definitely recommend Nagano. We will happily come back on our next visit!
