The best experience I've ever had fine dining. TO CHEF(s): You are creative, and the amuse bouche was genuinely intensely flavorful, I loved the sauce for the chicken-mac balls. Everything else was extremely finely crafted aswell. (I do feel the ahi starter loses some of the flavor of the fish, but that's just my preference perhaps.) We did not have a reservation. We were driving across the province and our plans at our final destination was canceled so we stopped in Kingston, looked up a waterfront restaurant, checked the menu online and photos and showed up. Came here with my partner last night after we were able to get a last minute reservation. They were quickly able to accommodate us and we even got in a bit early. We started with the sourdough and our server, James, brought us some complimentary ceviche with chips to try, all of which were delicious. I ordered the duck trio for my main and my partner got the shrimp pasta. I’ve never had foie gras until then, and it wasn’t too bad! Valentines day reservation. First time there. Have always heard amazing things and it did not dissappoint. It was a calm and inviting atmosphere. Food was amazing. Highly recommend pan seared scallops. Husband got the ribeye and he loved it. The waiter, Matthew, was there exactly when we needed him without being interruptive. Very efficient. Photos of the food are after we started eatting because we were too excited to try it.
