Alric D’Souza★★★★★I recently dined at Bagdadi Restaurant with my family, and the culinary experience was exceptional. The food is undoubtedly top-tier and highly underrated, with the mutton curry and roti being particular standouts, while the chicken biryani was an absolute hit with everyone. However, while the food quality is excellent, the dining environment itself could use some improvement, as the space was quite crowded and lacked proper ventilation. Despite the tight accommodations, the outstanding flavors make this establishment well worth a visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.
MUFADDAL VOHRA★★★★★Visited Bagdadi Restaurant in Colaba and the experience completely lived up to its iconic reputation. The food was rich, flavorful, and perfectly suited for anyone who loves authentic Mughlai cuisine. We ordered the Bagdadi Chicken Masala, Chicken Chilli, Nalli Nihari, and Tandoori Roti. The Bagdadi Chicken Masala had a deep, well-balanced gravy with tender chicken that was packed with flavor. The Chicken Chilli was delicious, with the perfect combination of spice and richness. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Nalli Nihari aromatic, and full of flavor, with the meat literally falling off the bone. The Tandoori Rotis were fresh, soft, and paired perfectly with every dish. The place has an old-school charm that adds to the overall experience. Service was quick despite the crowd, and the portions were satisfying for the price. A must-visit spot in Mumbai for anyone craving authentic Mughlai food. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.
Simply Sansu★★★★I was happy to have tasted the authentic , traditional mughlai food served here at Bagdadi redtaurant. We tried Bagdadi signature ones, Bagdadi chicken biryani and Bagdadi chicken fry masala. Both tasted realky good and the chicken piece was realky big in both the dishes. The amount of plain rice could have been a bit more. Due to the rush here, they have the table sharing system here. We were asked to sit on another table, a smaller one, which is totally understandable. I was extrenely happy with the taste, and the reasonable rates. Being tourists in Mumbai, finding a place that serves tasty food at reasonable price is a great relief. The wait time for food is reasonable due to the heavy foot traffic here. It lives up to its name for its taste. However, i felt like servive could be a notch better, maybe a more pleasant table service. We would have been happier if they could help us with a flask of hot water too for the baby. Again, its okay due to the LPG shortage and the heavy rush
shruti s★★★We heard a lot about the food here and went there.. Let me start with the positives . The quality and quantity they provide at the price is really commendable.. Staff was good. Sir who managed the line was very pleasant so was everyone.. Our kids loved their food .. Husband and I didn't quite enjoy the food as it wasn't as per our liking our inclination is towards spicy food, we had asked our waiter to make it spicy he said it couldn't be done though he gave us spicy chutney.. The place has a good vibe.. I wish them all the very best. I saw many people enjoying food that surely says a lot about this place.. Thank you for the experience..
AVISKAR Rai★★★★The taste of the food was absolutely good, and we truly loved the rich, authentic flavour of the dishes. The pricing was very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. On top of that, the service was good and prompt throughout our meal. It is a fantastic spot if you are looking for delicious, flavourful food that doesn't break the bank!
vinit S★★★★Nice muglai restaurant in mumbai, near gateway of india and behind Taj hotel. This place services nice veg and non veg dishes. We tried the various food like, Nihari Nalli, chicken crispy, mutton dabba gosht, chicken masala, roti. Specially liked the mutton boneless dish, which was cooked for a long time, so it was juicy, moist and had a shuttle taste. It’s a big roti, difficult to finish 02. The deserts we tried Fernni, rabbdi and Custer was good. Be prepared for sharing the table, since space is limited. They only prefer cash, but in emergency they accept digital payment. They don’t allow to charge the mobile in the restaurant, so carry your battery banks.
Partha S Mondal★★★★Place is too much crowded seats are not so comfortable however food is excellent. We ordered chicken keema, chicken fry masala, mutton akhni pulao, bagdadi tandoori roti and rabdi. Chicken keema : keema was cooked in a slightly sweeter gravy, taste average. Chicken fry masala : One portion leg cooked in a tomato base gravy which taste awesome. Mutton akhni pulao : It's not like the regular pulao which I eat before. Non spicy but very flavourful rice, mutton was so tender. A must recommend dish which you can definitely try here.
Dr.A.A. D★★★★We visited this restaurant twice back-to-back last week (8 & 10th May) during our trip to Mumbai. On the first night, we ordered fried chicken with gravy separately, fried mutton, crispy naan, chaach, and lassi. * Fried Chicken 5/10 & gravy: 5/10 * Fried mutton: 10/10 * Naan: 10/10 * Chaach: 10/10 * Lassi: 10/10 On the second day, we ordered mutton nihari, fried mutton, mutton keema, and naan. * Mutton Nihari: 5/10 * Fried mutton: 10/10 * Mutton Keema: 8/10 * Naan: 10/10 The Owner (young gentleman was very kind he gifted me a purple shirt with a very positive line on it and back of it was Baghdadi Restaurant logo). We will go back for fried Mutton & Naan !!! Need to add it was extremely hot as they do not have any air conditioner or cooler … Only fans are there . Price for two : Between ₹700-₹1000 Thank you
