I've been working in Fort for the past three years and have regularly had lunch at various nearby places such as Mumbai Masala, National Hotel, Anna Idli, Alankar, and the stalls around PNB Khau Gully. Surprisingly, I only discovered India Restaurant recently. I've had food here four times so far, and each visit has been consistently good. The food is tasty, reasonably priced, and the portion sizes are generous. In fact, a half plate of most curries is enough for two people and more than sufficient for one person. Looking back, I genuinely feel I missed out by not trying this place earlier. If you're looking for a satisfying and affordable meal in the Fort area, this is definitely worth a visit. The Keema Pav and lunch options are particularly good. A simple, no-frills place that serves good food at a fair price.

I LOVE this place!! I discovered it on a historical food walk with the famous Kurush Dalal. The Green kheema changed my life 😂...it's like no other Mumbai kheema (I'll let you into a secret...it's the dill). Have been back many times since. Today went for kheema, bhurji and angari chicken with fresh salty light-as-a-feather tandoori rotis. Just delicious 😋
