Ganesh Badgeri★★★★★Visited Balwas Restaurant, Churchgate last night for dinner. I ordered Ginger Lemon Soup to start. Chicken Amritsari was the main dish I tried. Rumali Roti was served fresh and soft . All items tasted good and were properly made. The restaurant has a proper seating area for dine-in. There might be a wait during peak dinner hours. Parking is possible for 2-wheelers near the restaurant. Car parking is difficult and depends on availability. Staff members were friendly and attentive throughout. Service was quick and they took the order smoothly. The overall ambience felt comfortable for a family dinner. I loved the food quality and taste. I will try more dishes from their menu in future.
Shaikh Tasmiya★★★★A great restaurant to visit with a really pleasant ambience. The only downside was that there could be more seating space. The food was good overall...but the absolute standout was the Butter Garlic Prawns hands down the best prawns I’ve ever had.....perfectly cooked... bursting with flavour and simply unforgettable.... The chicken Hunan is also a must try especially if you enjoy chinese cuisine.... The rest of the dishes were decent...Overall it was a lovely experience!
Mangesh Dongre★★★★★Had a wonderful dining experience at Balwas, Churchgate. The ambience is calm, pleasant, and perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal with family or friends. I tried the Masala Prawns and a mutton dish, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The restaurant offers a good variety of food options, catering to different tastes. The custard dessert was especially enjoyable, with a perfectly balanced sweetness that made for a great ending to the meal. Overall, the food was tasty, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the service added to the positive experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a peaceful dining experience in the Churchgate area.
Faisal Khan★Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. We waited for more than 45 minutes after placing our order, yet no food was served. Despite multiple follow-ups with the staff and management, there was little concern shown and no proper update on the delay. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase the staff just to get basic service. To make matters worse, some of the plates and serving ware appeared chipped and damaged, which raises serious concerns about hygiene and attention to detail. While the food itself was good when it finally arrived, the poor service, lack of communication, and overall management of the dining experience completely overshadowed it. A restaurant's responsibility goes beyond good food it also includes timely service, cleanliness, and customer care, all of which were lacking during this visit. Unfortunately, not an experience I would recommend until significant improvements are made.
the mk★★★★★Recently visited BALWAS in Fort, and it felt like stepping back into the 1970s in the best possible way. The vintage décor, old-school charm, and warm ambiance give it a truly nostalgic vibe. The staff is incredibly polite and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely top-notch! We tried 4-5 dishes and every single one was delicious, but the Chicken Lazeez stole the show. It's a must-try dish—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Service was quick and efficient, and the staff made great recommendations. Highly recommend this place if you're into good food, a cozy vintage atmosphere, and great service. Excited to hear they're opening a new branch in Marol soon—definitely keeping an eye out for that!
MoinKhan★★★★★I’ve been visiting this restaurant for several years, and it never disappoints. Every visit feels just as good as the first. The food is consistently delicious, with great taste in every dish. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable. The ambience is warm and welcoming—perfect for family outings. Highly recommended!
Ahmed AlSuwaidi★★★★The food was tasty and well presented. • King Prawns Biryani: 4.5/5 – fresh and delicious. • Mutton Hyderabadi Pulav: 3/5 – the meat was too tough. • Butter Chicken: 4.5/5 – very different taste compared to other places, in a good way. • Ras Malai: 5/5 – perfect, highly recommended. • Gulab Jamun: 4/5 – good but not the best. Overall, a nice experience with excellent desserts and flavorful dishes. 🌟 4.2/5
RKG★★★If you are in walking distance, and don’t want to take a cab, and yet eat non veg then come here. We went for a lunch. No compulsion of non veg and regretted. Paneer makhanwala was stale. Mutton sheekh kabab were tender but gave burps for few hrs. Rotis were good. Didn’t try rice so can’t comment. Overall it was not a happy feeling. Service was good as probably we were before time for lunch.
