Visited on a Saturday evening for a special birthday celebration. 6 course tasting menu. The food was absolutely amazing. Each of us had a different favourite dish but all of us agreed the meal as a whole was one of the best we have had. The service was lovely. Not stuffy, just friendly and professional. Slowing the delivery slightly when we requested it to allow a little more chatting in between courses. The chefs definitely specialise in amazing fish dishes, with some real cooking skill and flair. Food was nice but too complicated cwith long explanation when it served. Too many items and many types of sauces in one dish and I was puzzled what I was eating. The choco tart was nice even though I waited for 25 mins. If coffee was served at the same time as we asked, that would be better.

Food was good. After one beer I had to change as they had run out. Not sure about £4 a bottle for still water… coffee became confusing as we couldn’t get a latte, so had tea, with milk…. Beef was replaced with Lamb on the tasting menu (it was lovely though). The lighting and toilets would have benefited from an update.
