What a great find! Just one street behind Princess street (the main drag), this little gem awaits. Not only is the food great, the portions are large and the prices low. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Two of us shared one and glad we did. Also had to have the haggis balls for our first time in Scotland. Actually very tasty, but again, you get 4 large deep fried balls of haggis. Be hungry!

Cool Gothic / Metal ambience oub on Rose street in Edinburgh. Staff were friendly and helped me (a whiskey novice) pick out a tasty old fashioned. Chips were tasty, cider was great, went back twice during my trip. Music was great too, heard some great post punk songs my first visit! Definitely worth a go if you're in Edinburgh!

Walked in when it was very quiet, pretty much most of the tables were empty and the girl at the bar indicated our group of 7 could take the seats near the back. As we were about to sit down, another gentleman came and told us no our group is too big therefore we had to leave. Such a shame we were made to leave as we were looking to try the delicious food mentioned in reviews. Funny that looking at other reviews mentions large and loud groups and suitable for all group sizes, and the place being crammed, yet we were turned away the place was pretty much empty - wonder what their reasoning was?
