Toby★★★★★Thirty years gone, and the worn Windsor Buffet mosaic still greeted me. I lived upstairs from its neighbour, the Gateway Theatre, in the mid-1990s. This was my local in the deeper sense, the way a pub becomes part of your life. It was dimmer then, maybe dingy, more intimate, with corners where we’d lose an evening, slugging pints of Scottish & Newcastle’s cask-conditioned McEwan’s Eighty, or, less often, Caledonian Seventy Shilling. Long nights, no hurry. The back bar was lined with a towering row of malts to see you through the wee hours. The Gateway’s long gone, but the Windsor stands fast
Sam★★★★★Spoke to Scott and Tom a week before my birthday. Turned up and they reserved whole back of the bar. Turned up to balloons and food provided by staff. Very attentive and made my special occasion extra special. Not a bad word to say, great quality beer and snacks also. Recommend to anyone looking for a gathering or even just dropping by.
Laurie Watts★★★★★Scott was fabulous helped us choose the right whisky for my partner andade the whole experience a fun one ! I'll b back most definitely when i visit Edinburgh again!!!!
Yashas Venkatesh★★★★★The place I visited was amazing! I tried their special cocktail, and it was absolutely fantastic Ireally loved it. The vibe of the place is great, with lots of local people, which makes it feel lively and authentic. If you’re someone who enjoys watching football or games, they have a TV setup too, which adds to the experience. Overall, it’s a really amazing spot
