We enjoyed our visit here. We were stopping not too far away in a hotel and found this place on a quick google search. As the weather was nice it was quite busy because it has a large outdoor seating area. This meant there was a queue out the door just to go and place the food order. The food itself was nice, other than my partners burger bun looked a bit burnt. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Beautiful scenic tranquil and peaceful by the river or inside warm cosy and classy rustic cottage core vibes. Beautiful food decor and staff. Cost is above average than typical pub food. This is higher end. It's 16quid for a ceaser salad 23-28 for a steak. As a treat, special occasion, business meal or family meal it could be pricey. But the food is high end so for a once in a while treat it's worth it. Unless you've got spends be aware of the price list for low income families. Went for food and some drinks here on a Friday night and we couldn't knock the food or venue itself. Right in the side of the canal with pel Ty of seating both inside and out. Place is well maintained and it was quiet enough inside to be able to hold a conversation. There was quite a long wait in the queue to order as there seemed to be only one person taking orders for both drinks only and meals but I do reckon this might be due to them not expecting it to be as busy as it was with how nice the weather was when we went.

Booked a table in advance to guarantee seats at new year eve. It was very busy. Festival set meals 3 courses 33.95, 2 courses 30.95. The meals ordered were tasty. They were the Prawn cocktail, prawn cocktail with scallops, pate, grilled sea baas, slow cooked belly pork, fish and chips, pizza and chicken salad.
