We visited on a Saturday for lunch. I'd say it's best to book in advance - we had no problem booking a table a few hours before but it seemed very busy by the time we left. We booked a dog friendly table in the bar area and were delighted to see many other tables with dogs too. There was a good selection of drinks including decaf tea & coffee. We were served by Amanda who was lovely and attentive. The starters, mains and desserts were all tasty and we all left happy. The canal adjacent to the pub was very pleasant for a quick post-lunch walk. You can also cycle here all the way from the west

This is our first visit in a couple of years and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive, took the time to explain and specials, checked on us from time to time and service was reasonably quick. Our food was fantastic, we had a starter and a main course. For my main I had the lasagne and highly recommend it. My wife had a burger and equally enjoyed it. There's a special weekend treat menu that you can pick from if you choose. Lots to choose from and with it being on the canal a great place to visit.
