Right in the center of the restaurant district of La Jolla Shores is an understated and elegant Italian restaurant offering a beautifully intimate experience near the crash of the waves and the energy of happy beach visitors. This place was always packed when I would walk by and I finally enjoyed their appeal. The squash ravioli was divine. The walnut cream sauce felt like a warm hug, and to top it off, Art, our server made me feel so at home that I felt full of both laughter and pasta. I highly and warmly recommend this spot 💕💕

Lots of competing food options along this very quaint area of La Jolla but Piatti stands out for it's delicious homemade pasta. Even the vegetables were delicious! We had the herbed cauliflower cakes, lasagna and papardelle with shrimp. Portions were good and there were no leftovers of food or wine. Busy but can still have conversation without shouting. Our server was a gregarious gentleman who added to the evening's light, Fun vibe. Mama mia I will be back.

Beautiful restaurant in La Jolla with a really nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Rotolo, which was delicious, the mushrooms and spinach went really well together. The penne was also great with a perfect sauce. The mashed potatoes and Italian bread were excellent sides.
