One & Done visit. Red flag to start with vermouth on the speed rail. It’s fortified wine, it needs to be refrigerated. Bartender wasn’t aware of a 3:1 martini. Aka 3 parts gin 1 part vermouth… so it’s apparent They don’t use enough vermouth to not keep it chilled. French onion soup, intentionally ordered with the cheese on the bottom. Meh. Nice color on the onions. Good beef flavor. Lacked in salt & zero sherry flavor present. Fish & Chips- fail. Shoe string fries nice & crispy, zero salt. Fish overcooked, dry, tough. City Squire is such a gem to have in the neighborhood. The food is always delicious and inventive, and the beer selection is awesome. I love the atmosphere here. There’s outdoor eating options when the weather is nice and there’s always a good crowd. The waitstaff and bartenders are so friendly and personable. It’s a very welcoming environment. We’ve never had anything to eat that we didn’t like, but I’d have to say their fried chick peas are our favorite. We also really like the fried chicken sandwich and Squire turkey club. We stopped in for brunch on Sunday. It wasn't too busy but may have been a little short staffed. Even so, our waitress/barkeep, was very efficient and kind. We didn't wait long and she had our entire order (changes and additions) without a note memorized. It was impressive we did a build your own. Food was delivered by (a possible owner/manager) also very kind and quick. Overall the experience was great and we found a great brunch spot. Burgers were solid and the French onion soup was incredible. You won't be disappointed!

I love this place! They rotate their menu every season, offer great specials, and have a good sized section of vegan/vegetarian options. The servers are always lovely as well. My only complaint is how loud the space gets once the bar fills up. I really wish there was some kind of noise dampening, but otherwise this is a favorite spot that we come to regularly!
