If there were a hall of fame for breakfast, the hash browns at Mel’s would have their own dedicated wing. They’ve achieved the "Golden Ratio": perfectly crunchy on the outside with a center so soft it’s basically a culinary hug. 🥔 It’s rare to find a spot that treats the classics with this much respect. Excellent retro-styled diner, very authentic to period and rich in details. I ordered a pancake special, and I love that they were considerate enough to bring the pancakes on the bacon and eggs on separate plates. 👌🏼 Solid diner experience with strong nostalgia vibes.

OMG!!! If u have never been to Mel's Diner ur missing out!!! The place is amazing 🤩. My husband suggested I try the Buffalo burger so I did. Now all u must try one! My daughter wanted chili fries ( not on menu ) they made it happen. Let's just say the best chilli fries we have had! The service was wonderful. The atmosphere is so welcoming and nostalgic. If u ever come to Yakima stop in at Mel's diner.
