Nancy C★★★★Loved having our morning coffee and a breakfast at The Vault. Set in an old bank, this cafe has a lot of vintage charm with eclectic decor in every corner of the space. It was a lively place, even early in the morning when we visited. They have plenty on their menu for breakfast as well as a pastry case if you are on the go. The most memorable part of our meal was definitely the yogurt and fruit bowl. It was beautifully plated and tasted equally delicious (their coffee was also excellent). This will be one of our first stops on our next trip to Nanaimo!

The service wasn’t super friendly but it wasn’t unusual for a place that takes payment before you’re served your food. Also took a while to get our food but not unreasonable and worth the wait for sure.

If you are a Nanaimo Bar fan, or merely Nanaimo Bar curious, this is a must stop and try cafe! We had breakfast here and the food was great - but the Nanaimo Bar stole the show! Brought back memories and made my heart sing! I will definitely be back!
