The pub itself is really pretty, with lots of warm lighting and a cosy, traditional pub feel that makes it a lovely place to sit and relax. It definitely has that inviting atmosphere you hope for when heading out for a roast. The service was good – friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout our visit, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the roast itself was quite uneventful. The gravy was watery and lacked depth of flavour, the portion sizes felt on the small side, and the cauliflower cheese didn’t really stand out.
