We stopped in for a quick drink because Good Omens filmed a few scenes in here and would have stayed all day if we could. The bartender was friendly and helpful. There was horse racing on the tv and a table of locals were joyfully cheering it on. It felt like a good, local pub should. The drinks were cold and poured well.

I was taking its pictures from the outside with a huge grin on my face and they realized I was there for Good Omens haha They were so nice and even invited me inside to have a look, it was a very small and kind gesture but it really made my day! I'm sure they would be frustrated by visiting fans all the time but still! Thanks a lot for your patience and kindness. This place was one of the best stops I had during my short Edinburgh visit. I want to visit again definitely 😌

Ian Mitchinson★★★★★

Meeting some old mates. Had a table reserved. Reasonably priced ales for Edinburgh. Comfortable and a good atmosphere. If your looking for somewhere for a comfortable chat, it's a good choice.

Dean Morrison★★★★★

Great old style boozer with welcoming local customers - used to drink here many years ago, it's even better nowadays
