We had a great experience at The Amber Rose. When we arrived, they were showing a rugby match and the pub was quite busy, but we still managed to find a table without any problem. The place is spacious and warm, with a very welcoming atmosphere. There was even an open mic session happening, which added a really nice and lively touch to the evening. Friendly staff but the food was not great. My husband liked his bangers and mash ok and the chips were good, but the steak and ale pie was inedible. It took two of us to cut it in half because it was so hard and the meat inside was dry/burnt.

Talk about a cozy pub with comforting food. As it was a Sunday it was only fair to go for a roast. They triple roast is what tickled my fancy and my goodness it delivered. Decent price for the portion and it’s in the heart of the city. They will be seeing me again
