We moved to Middlesbrough recently. We are regular customer in our previous area, that's why we expected the same here. But it wasted, we bought one chicken rice and two paneer rice. Hot was so plain and where as extra hot tasted like extreme hot so much curry. Spoiled the mood to eat and our hungry went away after having few spoons. Rice was not boiled properly, paneer got burnt. Tasted the worst peri rice from pepe's, we tasted in many different places like in Birmingham, Glasgow and Coventry. This is the first worst experience in Pepe's. We ordered peri wedges where there is no peri salt it

We have been ordering food from pepes since 2.5 year on regular basis..but now the sizes of burgers and juiciness of food is not what it used to be. I had strip in past they weren't dry, but now they are dry. Burgers were juicy n big patties were used. I had full chicken many times in past..but now chicken is dry with no juiciness in it with sauce dripping. These are the things which make pepe's really unique from others but they are ignoring this.

Was looking forward to Pepe’s reopening as their food was always on point with the previous owners. However, my experience today was far from it. The food arrived after over an hour which wouldn’t be bad if it was nice or worth the wait. I ordered large chips and the portion was smaller than a Maccies small fries, they were stale tasted like they had been sat there for days (I would have been better going to Maccies). Had pepes since 2015. Started from Bradford, Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Sheffield, London Came to Middlesbrough for baby scan and craving pepes all the time throughout my pregnancy so very blessed to have pepes near the hospital. Staff were super lovely as they have listened to my requests when asked to have how I like my food. Thank you so much Middlesbrough. Will be back soon x
