If you’re looking for a solid spot for Mexican food, come here. My husband and I tried other joints in Abilene none have compared to this place.

After going to Alfonso Burritos in Duncanville, he told me about his dad's spot in Abilene. This place was just as good and Burritos were delicious! Staff wasn't that talkative when trying to bring up the son so I was like...okay lol...but good overall, would definitely come back!

Zeus G.★★★

They are getting too expensive. I remember when the burritos used to be around $2.30 and now they hiked up the prices like crazy, up to $4.10. for how small the burrito is, I would rather go to the burrito show near Sears Park. Those burritos are way bigger, and worth the buck. I'll still give it 3★ because of the history I've had with them, but this is just disappointing. They are 5★ worthy if it wasn't for the price. The positive side is that their Horchata and Lemonade are top tier.

Absolutely amazing! Alfonso Hernandez Bakery is a hidden gem serving authentic, traditional Mexican food and baked goods that taste like home. The menudo was rich and flavorful—perfectly seasoned and comforting—and the barbacoa tacos were tender and delicious. You can really tell everything is made with care and tradition. The service was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu! 😋
