We had a delicious meal! Our server Elena was great and attentive without hovering over us. We shared the croquetas and burnt cheesecake. I ordered the lamb chops and my husband the filet mignon. All the food was amazing and it was a fun was to visit the Basque Block and try something new!

I wish I was a local so I could be a regular! Such sweet staff and all young and I was SO impressed with them all working hard and being so attentive. Drinks and food were FANTASTIC. I had the steak sandwich and it was the best I ever had. Went in for 1 drink and ended up having 3 because I loved the staff and the vibes so much. 30/10

At Leku Ona, the meal unfolded with a quiet depth that revealed itself slowly. The lamb shank had been braised until it no longer resisted. It gave way at the touch, each bite saturated with a deep, savory richness that felt almost elemental. The brown gravy carried a long, patient flavor, warm and lingering, settling into the palate rather than overwhelming it. The mashed potatoes were soft and enveloping, holding the sauce in a way that made each bite feel whole. Nothing stood apart. Everything blended into a single, steady note of comfort. The Basque mac and cheese brought a subtle edge.

The meal was exceptional and authentic Basque food. The chef was from Bilbao, Spain and my family is from Galecia, Spain (very close to one another). The croquettas de jamon were delicious, the flan, supernatural. The chef was good enough to make me a torilla de patatas (off menu), and it was SO good, that I almost teared up. (Note: my abuelita used to make flan, croquetas, and tortilla and it was like having a heavenly gastronomic hug from her! Mil gracias, mi gente! Un abrazo fuerte, Maria Chao
