As someone from Central California who's eaten a ton of Lao food over the years, I can say without hesitation that Lao Cafe is excellent.The meats are all perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and full of flavor—while the seasoning is beautifully balanced. Nothing feels heavy or one-note. I especially appreciate that their “medium” spice level actually delivers a solid kick (exactly how I like it), so if you’re sensitive to heat, you might want to start with mild or ask them to dial it back.Highly recommended if you’re craving authentic, high-quality Lao food.

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant the place is just as it should be with tables and decor unpolished, a little rugged compact and in the spirit of Asian cafes. The food is bursting with flavours crazily authentically amazingly brilliant! The Thai slaw is the most authentic and similar to the ones I have had in Thailand. I've been searching for that for years even in Thai restaurants and they have it right here! Each dish is perfect the sticky rice, the sauce the meats. The service was excellent. I live in NYC, so I’m spoiled for choice when it comes to Thai and Isan food, but Lao Cafe is in a league of its own. As a flight attendant, I’ve tried it all, and this is now my mandatory stop every time I layover in London. The flavors are unapologetic and take me right back home, something I struggle to find even in Queens or Manhattan. Their papaya salad is easily one of the best I’ve ever had. If you want a taste that’s authentic and hits all the right spots, this is the place.

The food was absolutely delicious and tasted truly authentic from Thailand. The service was amazing, and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. A special compliment to Nam Tan for her excellent service. We will definitely be back again!
