Had a mixed experience here. We had a 6pm reservation and didn’t end up getting our mains until almost 7:45, which felt long. Our appetizers were delicious. We had the calamari and the suppli and enjoyed both a lot. The mains didn’t go as well. I had the carbonara and this was this first time I’ve ever had carbonara with onions in it, I would not recommend it. Not a good addition to what is usually such a simple dish. My wife had the mushroom pasta and also felt the onions in the meal were overdone. All in all not a fantastic experience. Overall more like a 2.5 than a 3.

Great wine, amazing lasagna, but check the ingredients! Matto boasts a stellar wine selection and a vibrant atmosphere. Vegetarian warning: the Minestrone soup contains pork. Luckily, the Lasagna is an elite backup choice—the tomato sauce is incredibly rich and flavorful, making a perfect pairing with the complimentary bread. The Crab Rolls were also a massive hit for my husband. Highly recommend for the pasta and wine pairings!

The first place for the best Italian pasta in town! Enjoyed the Christmas Eve dinner at this authentic Italian restaurant chain in Quebec City. The pastas were amazingly delicious and the steak was perfectly cooked to accurate perfection and tasted better than anything else one can find anywhere else. The atmosphere was fantastic and very refreshing welcoming experience. The service was also very pleasant and really enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for an evening dinner , just make sure you have a reservation done before heading as it is very popular and busy.

Had a lovely time at this restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly, personable and down to earth. My linguine vongole was delicious. The liguini was a tad too el dente but nonetheless delicious. The argula and prosciutto salad was perfect. We also tried their spaghetti le keb and that was 👍. Oh! And the cauliflower soup really hit the spot! Thank you for a great experience !
