Went here for dinner. Service was warm and welcoming. A good choice for families and they had an English menu too which is handy for tourists. The food was mostly good but came out surprisingly quickly which made us question how things were being cooked. Tartare was great, and truffle pasta lovely too. This place caught our attention from afar due to the pink interior lighting we glimpsed through an alley way. We both suddenly stopped and went 'oooooo'. Deciding it was a sign, we went to the formal entrance (the classic french side of the restaurant) and asked for a table for two but asked if we could sit on the pink side. The server asked us why and we sheepishly told him that we thought it was pretty. He replied, ah! C'était moi qui a mis le couleur.' My first real French dining experience didn’t disappoint. Located in the city center you might think it could be a tourist trap. But far from it. Le Tabalier can be described as a pretty casual dining experience with good wine and good food. The waitress was very nice and gave us good wine recommendations. Food wise (according to my French girlfriend) it was very authentic and fresh French food. The beef tartare was surprisingly fresh and very light which paired nicely with the French fries.
