We stopped by because they have a nice selection of craft beer on draft. I asked if they would set up a flight of 4 beers for me to taste. They did and we had fun getting their input on which ones to evaluate. The burger was impressive. They sent us off to two more craft pubs and it made for a great 6 hours. De Lift and Lokaal are great craft beer houses.

Overall, it was a decent dinner for reservations in short notice. Drinks were a generous pour, which was nice compared to other restaurants in Haarlem. The burrata appetizer was simple and tasty but lacking a bit for the price. My pork loin was good and cooked pretty well but the salmon filet was the opposite, being raw for the most part. Decent meal and service was pretty good but will keep looking for our regular spot in town.

Growing up in Haarlem, Bruxelles was a family staple. Unfortunately our last experience was terrible. We went on a Tuesday night. The waiting staff was arrogant, aggressive, rude, slow and constantly rushing and seemed bothered to have to take orders. This was the girl in the Ramones top in particular. The waiting staff seemed to be arguing with each other. The music was turned on at max volume at about 20:00. To the point we could not longer have a conversation. One of the best places to eat I have tried so far. I have eaten here twice (October and December) and they nailed it both times. Lamb pesto was fantastic and second time I ordered pork steak with blue cheese sauce - dreamy! All this was accompanied with some lovely beers and finally with a sticky toffee dessert that was over the top. All this at more than fair price tag. This is the place to eat and drink! Very relaxed and cozy, you can eat at the bar or on the tables.
