The food was excellent! Great vegetarian options. We had the goat cheese fritters main (sooo good), the cinque P pasta, and the salmon pasta. Everyone loved everything and the chasselas white wine was delicious and perfect. Lia was our server and she was wonderful, very kind and friendly. The atmosphere was very very nice inside and out, not loud, beautiful table setup. Overall, it was an outstanding experience and such a delicious meal. After walking around Bern looking for somewhere to stop for lunch we stumbled upon this cute small place. Right when we walked in the door the aroma hit us and we immediately started salivating. Once we sat down we were handed a menu (all in german) which only had a couple of things on it. We discovered it was a set menu for the day, so based on the smell alone we said yes! Best choice - the food was to die for (best of our whole Europe trip actually) and we will definitely go back if we ever find ourselves in Bern again.

A restaurant with a long tradition, but one that has by no means stood still. A good selection of fine seasonal dishes, an excellent wine list (highlight: Pinot from Hämmerli, Seeland) and very attentive staff. The elegant yet relaxed interior, with lots of beautiful art on the walls, invites you to enjoy a cosy evening with friends or even business partners.
