What a fantastic place. Stumbled on it when we tried 'Grill next door' which is literally opposite. We were told our food was going to take around 30 minutes to be ready so called in for a drink. The server explained it was all table service and how the menus and ordering worked. They have a great selection of drinks, all independents for the most, and we ordered some drinks. The servers were all very friendly and happy to help. It's amazing that you can take your own food there (they also had a pop up pizza place at the time) so when our food was ready (early) we were able to take it to our

Craft Republic is a hidden gem, its situated away from the Goodsheds (where it previously resided) it now is a stone throw away from Asda with a beautiful view from the outdoor seating area over the dockland. Inside is lovely warm modern. The onsite shop is stocked with plenty of independent craft ales in cans as well as a decent selection of really nice wine ( I bought a sancerre £25 ) and equally stocked with some really tasty spirits (can vouch for the Barry island small batch vodka £29) they also stock Gin amongst others.
