“Clean cafe, lovely food good service”

The retail store has self-service tills now to purchase and return clothing items. While I don’t mind this in the food hall as they tend to be much quicker, it’s more time consuming at the retail store (even if there are more tills, you now have to scan, remove hangers and fold the clothes). On top of it, I also got a condescending telling off for the T-shirts I was returning being wrinkled from being in my bag! Not sure why one would choose to shop in store there with that kind of treatment.

I would like to thank Wendy for the kindness and professionalism shown today. I had my first bra fitting post surgery. I went a little worried, which turned out to be unwarranted. Thankyou Wendy for all your help in getting me the correct size and bra style.

*December 2025: Update* The ladies' customer toilets are always half flooded with closed cubicles - ergo, huge queues. It's really disappointing. The cafe only has one barista on duty and this means long queues. Pfft. ±+++++++++++++++++++++ Myself and Mr C are always in this store. I've bought quite a few things recently online, as there's more choice in sizing, colours and lengths etc - the returns via the machine are so easy as is the click and collect. Today we had a splendid experience with a very helpful menswear assistant who showed us how to obtain two discounts via the Sparks app.

Dreadful cafe. One particular member of staff clearly not keen on working. Told her colleague in my hearing that if people came in for Mothers Day she would tell them to leave. On another occasion barked at me at 4.10 that there was no hot food as I entered the cafe. She didn't know if I wanted hot food or not. I beat a tasty retreat and went somewhere else where they were happy to serve me. She is not a credit to M and S.
