only came here to check out the m&s food instead of the entirety of the shop, as i wouldn’t say i’m marks & spencer’s usual demographic (23M)… i love an m&s food so i like to try and visit one whenever i’m in a new place. this was a lovely store that was nicely laid out. nice big elevator available. i liked looking at the posh water bottles (£2 if you please!!!!) big fan of the m&s bakery however i can’t eat gluten anymore, so no treats for me.

The new design cafe in Marks & Spencer Parliament Street York makes it difficult, if not impossible, for people with certain disabilities to use. The new cake display is on 2 levels, the higher tier being out of reach for wheelchair users. (See pic) The drinks ordering and payment area doesn't has anywhere to put the tray other than to lift it onto the perspex display area that is chest height for me. There was a narrow ledge lower down, but that had items for sale on and wasn't wide enough to accommodate a tray. The drinks I noted were then put on the tray when they were made. I use a walking

Superb customer care from Samantha in the food department about 1030 this morning. I had walked in to buy some frozen Yogurt “ Fro-Yo” which is delicious & it cant be bought at either Waitrose or Morrison; sadly there was no Vanilla in the freezers. Samantha was very helpful and stopped what she was doing to source some for me. Much appreciated.
