Mary Williams★★★★★Best Guiness I have ever drunk. It took a while to settle, sign of a good pour. Rich creamy taste. We called at this old Birmingham pub for a quick drink. The food menu looked good. A selection of pies, sandwiches and pub usuals eg. fish and chips. We had already eaten, so we didn’t sample the food.The decor is in honour of soldiers from WW1. Friendly bar staff.Lots of original fixtures and fittings in this historic corner pub. Worth a visit.

Always a warm welcome from the manager, Rob, to feel at home. Both food and beers (plenty to choose) were great, well worth the journey. Attentive but not intrusive service was provided by Patrick, a great ambassador for the pub and Nicholsons. A pub with real character. Not our first visit and certainly not our last.
