Chose to eat breakfast at this little cafe because of reviews I'd read. It definitely lived up to what people have said. It's a small place, although larger than many cafes in Edinburgh, with a staff that makes you feel very welcome and go above and beyond to ensure your experience is a great one! The full breakfast (not Scottish, not into Haggis or pudding) is a great price with a lot of food. The bacon was my favorite meat, although quite salty (gasping for water the rest of the day ☺️). Under the hill upon which Edinburgh Castle sits, Quinn’s Café is a very nice little spot to have breakfast. I opted for the Scottish breakfast, complete with haggis and black pudding. I take advantage of any opportunity to try things that are not readily available where I live in the US, and this breakfast had several items that aren’t typical of breakfasts where I’m from. Went with our little boy on the first morning of our honeymoon. The staff were incredibly friendly and very accommodating for our 2 year old, even offering us to suggest off menu if we needed to then bagging up his food for us when he did the usual toddler thing of not wanting to eat! The food was incredible and super tasty got to have a proper Scottish breakfast and even tried haggis for first time which was really nice! The offered directions and tips once we’d eaten and did the same for everyone as they left, they just couldn’t do enough to help! We’ll be back, can’t recommend enough :)
