I booked a table to meet up with a friend who was visiting from Copenhagen. I asked if we could sit near the open fire if it was available. When we arrived (slightly late) we were immediately uplifted by the beautiful Christmas decorations and greeted by Saneal who had reserved the table for us. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, without loud music to allow us to catch up. We didn’t feel rushed, but Saneal was attentive, friendly and efficient. Lovely place and recently taken over by new management. Sunday roast was exceptional, decent size roasts and meat portions with good veg selection and crispy roasts. Boasting unlimited gravy. Lovely staff who were very attentive. Will definitely be returning. Even managed to eat in the garden at the end of March, how perfect for a Sunday roast under the low but warm sunshine.

Went here for a meal for friends just before Christmas. A really lovely pub, well decorated and very Christmassy with roaring log fires. The food was great.I had fish pie which was very good. On the menu it came with salad, but I asked to swap for peas which was no problem. For dessert I had a sticky toffee pudding and swapped the ice-cream for custard. Again this was no problem. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food. Would recommend.
