This review is aimed at the customer service assistant who welcomed all as she opened the store and served the morning of Saturday 6th June. You’re unlikely to keep her long unless she’s fast-tracked into management. Instant rapport building skills and a fabulous smile made me feel fully welcome despite the early hour. Over the course of my visit she did the same with all customers which means she’s either a natural or come straight out of training and I know a natural when I meet them because they are as rare as a blue moon in this industry or any other. I went in to this local Costa last week that I visit a couple times every week and I witnessed a manager with dark hair (I believe her name was Alex) speaking with her staff in such a rude and unacceptable manner. The staff members at this cafe have always been so kind and welcoming to me which is why I continue to go there but this manager was unnecessarily rude and was loudly scolding these young girls at high volume behind the till in a busy cafe. The young dark haired lady is very nice and welcoming, the young girl they had this morning there was diabolical! Swearing and kissing her teeth! I’ve had to leave my coffee as it’s irritated me so much. I kept looking at her everytime she done it and she just smirked at me so she knew it was irritating me. I’ve had to walk out leave it as she annoyed me that much. I noticed another lady only drank hers also halfway and kept looking at her also and she left before me.
