This place was recommended to me by a local and it didn’t disappoint! The fish and chips was great, not too pricey and the staff really nice. Google says that it opens at 11, but today it was at 12.

While the location is good, the chips looked and tasted like they were from last week. Many of them were tough to eat and barnacle with ample amounts of ketchup. The service was friendly although despite being quiet, was a little pushy to order quickly. My other half enjoyed the sausage but agreed the chips were overdone or reused. For the princely sum of around 14 pounds for 2 people, I’d consider it on the high end for what it is although if we had rated the chips better, probably reasonable. I’m not sure if we will return or try somewhere else.

Came to Ozzies today as we are staying in whitstable for a few days and my oh my what wonderful food we have just had. We had Cod and chips and Cod pieces and chips and the Fish was so Beautiful...lovely and light with great batter as well..I thought we had the best Fish shop in Essex but now that award goes to Ossies restaurant..staff also was excellent..everyone get yourself down there and you won't be disappointed...5 stars

We stopped here for a late lunch - straight forward cod and chips. I have to say it is the best I have ever had. The fish was fresh and the batter was cooked to perfection and didn’t sit on the stomach afterwards as I have experienced at other restaurants. All washed down with a mug of tea. The service was excellent and staff were friendly. It's a bit cosy but that adds to the character of the place.
