I have been going to the James Joyce for about 17 years now. Absolutely a classic Irish pub feel. Food is really well made. It is my first stop on St. Patricks Day to start off with a pint and an Irish breakfast, which is absolutely delicious. Grab your friend, have a bite and raise a glass to good times!

Really lovely restaurant and the hero of the evening. A previous plan fell apart so we had to pivot. My suspicion now is this might be a better choice in any case. I got a James Joyce burger with a fried egg added. I also had fries which were good but powerfully seasoned with salt and garlic. Vampires beware. Also the egg was runny so if that is not your thing say so upfront.i liked it fine and it struck me as the conventional burger egg. We walked from our hotel and had a nice dinner. The chicken cury was a delight, and the Gaelic Burger was outstanding. The muscles and fries were cooked to perfection. Lovely service - our bartender/waitress was so sweet and fast! Guinness and Smithwicks on point as it should be. Decor was authentic. Reminded me a of side street pub in Kilkenny. Food was a bit salty (but that’s a personal dislike of mine - may be spot on to others). Love that there was malt vinegar already on the table. Would return!
