Established in 1973 Poor Richard's Cafe has been an institution in Plano for many years. In its early days it was known as Park Mall Restaurant. Back in the 70's and 80's Plano expanded rapidly.

I had to keep adding ice cubes from my water to my coffee but I'm not complaining, hot coffee is awesome! My eggs over easy were cooked perfectly Potatoes were decent norm
Toni C★★★★Saturday morning visit, first visit. No wait for a party of six. The food was good overall. Multiple people ordered the home fries and somehow one order was cold. The server did bring a hot order out as a replacement. You're able to grab additional condiments from nearby carts that also have to go containers. It is a family spot so at times it was noisy but overall the noise level was fine. Good home cooked breakfast.

I went with a group from work and was tempted to get the chicken fried steak but had just eaten that somewhere else a few days earlier so I opted for a bacon burger and wrinkle cut fries and sweet tea. The burger was juicy and not over cooked and was topped with lettuce, tomato and onions. Service was great!! Friendly and attentive folks!! Several of my coworkers got breakfast items and generally were pleased except
