This gem is tucked in Dresden’s Old Town. Its staff were all so kind and can speak English, I definitely felt the warm Saxon hospitality. The Sauerbraten I ordered was tender, fresh and served hot paired with Diesel (Feldschlößchen beer mixed with cola). The ambiance was a classical and elegant vibe that you can appreciate after seeing the other gems of Dresden. Cash and cards are accepted (but tips are cash only).

In my opinion, this is the best place in Dresden. We stayed in Dresden for 3.5 days. Had dinner here on our first evening and instantly fell in love with it. All about this place was amazing. The ambience, the service, the food. Loved old beautiful furniture which looks so royal!!! And can be purchased 😜. Imagine, eating a great dinner, having a wonderful time and taking the table and chairs home with you to keep the momentum going! Stopped by while sightseeing the city. It was very cold that day and we just needed a little pause. We ordered the traditional Sachsen quark patty and it was delicious. It’s very similar to Slavic syriniki but I actually liked this better as it’s a bit more dense and fried. Pair this traditional classic dessert with some hot tea / coffee and we left feeling refreshed and warm. Recommend this cafe as they feature full dining menu and also typical desserts and drinks. Also, the space is designed with all antiques in which one can actually purchase. Hence the name of the cafe.
