This pub keeps changing hands but for whatever reason the food continues to be really bad. When we first moved to the area in 2017 this place was excellent, and did amazing Scottish tapas. Everyone who's taken charge since has seemingly tried to do the food on the cheap while still charging excessive Edinburgh prices. Come for drinks by all means - the good atmosphere and showing of sports has been restored - but someone needs to take a fundamentally different approach to the kitchen.

Very bad pub experience in the U.K… They should be ashamed, that they managed to spend 45 minutes, making a fish and chips? Like come on, there was barely people there who ordered food??? Strongly advise people to chose another pub! The staff were neither friendly or welcoming, and you barely got greeted after you said hello first? Then one of the bartender continuously kept standing in the way of the screen showing rugby? This bloke even got the audacity to meet eyes, and repeatedly keep coming back to block the screen? To top it off, the pricing was so overpriced, and this is coming from

Birthday celebration Great bar person his first night he was brilliant..the food basic. The ladies toilets are filthy and need a good scrubbing.. I would return for drinks only… It has recently been taken over please put more effort in as it has potential to be a great bar..

Nice local sports pub with attentive staff. Usually quiet, ideal for families or a relaxed pint — with good baby changing facilities. It gets busy on game days so worth booking. Food is basic but fine.
