This was our first visit to The Broughton Inn and we're happy to say it won't be our last. We booked for 6pm on Saturday and there was plenty of space when we arrived (although things started to get busier around 7pm.) The pub side was busy and we made our way to the dining area; a gentleman greeted us and quickly showed us to our table. From there everything was perfectly timed, from being asked for our drinks to our ordering our meals. We came for Mothers day lunch and it was superb from start to finish! I recommended this place as we are locals who love the sunday lunch already so I needed to bring my mum to show her how amazing it is! We had a splendid meal at 1pm Sunday 8th March. Jess looked after us at the table and did a really great job. Two of the meals were salmon, one a trio of roast meats, and a signature burger. All were excellent, really tasty and filling. We opted to have a sweet each, and were told we could have a mini desert with a coffee. Great options included sticky toffee pudding, apple and blackcurrant crumble, and a banoffee cheesecake. It really was one of the best meals we’ve had recently.
