The Tickled Trout lies in beautiful countryside just outside Milngavie. The atmosphere is cozy old farmhouse vibe full of nooks and crannies dining areas fit for any occasion albeit a large group celebrating or a romantic tete a tete evening Tonight was a special celebration, two birthdays and a wedding anniversary on one day. Food, drinks, ambience and service from nice'n'friendly staff were all excellent. Ham hock pie, Hunters Chicken Schnitzel and a huge signature b

harry evans★★★★★This restaurant is situated on the B8048 adjacent to a Dobbies garden centre although they appear to be two separate business's. Inside is nicely laid out in an olde world style with wooden beams and flagstone floors. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table even though we hadn't booked in advance. I ordered Haddock and chips and my partner had fish cake, both of which were really nice and well prepared. Would I eat there again? I certainly would and can thoroughly recommend it. I'm not a fan of overly gushing reviews but this place was really good and I would give it a well deserved 9

The staff was really nice, and the restaurant wasn't full at all, not as we seen it full other time we were there. We waited 45m for the food, then my burger was cold and our child meal had the wrong sides. I complained about my cold burger, the waiter said they were going to replace it, and what they gave me back was a re-heated burger and fries. I saw other people that came in at the same time as us, being served just after we finished our meal, so their waiting time was even bigger than ours. Waiter kep
