Well I did it, after all my years in Edinburgh, over 60 of them. I finaly went in, what a great space, full of " characters " and all the better for it! Very reasonably priced beer and sat a watched the world go by, reminds me of my youth, bars like this are few and far, shame but we do have this. I'll he back!

Walked in and immediately got stopped by some old sad drunk employee (owner maybe?) And was accused of being on “drugs?!” and kicked out of the pub! (man called us “bums” as we walked out). My partner and I don’t even touch drugs.. never have. I later talking to other local bartenders and learned maybe it was because I was wearing an Adidas hoodie and there is a local stigma about that (look up “chavs”) Either way, DON’T GO NEAR THIS PLACE if you’re a tourist or even an unassuming local just wanting a pint if you’re not in their “undisclosed dress code” or below the age of 80 and sad with your

Sitting here absolutely Fkn astounded at this sh1t hole of a place. Bar staff who are anything but friendly, talking and bitching about customers, even to the degree they took the P out of someone who was clearly disabled. I'm actually astounded at the Gaul of them. Shit this place down immediately, or get new staff.
