Rafa Gonzalez★★★★★Been coming to Maize since undergrad and I’m happy to see that they’re still the best Mexican restaurant on campus. This time around I ordered and horchata and tacos de birria (quesabirria). The horchata was just as I’d hope an horchata to taste. Not too milky but not watery either with just the right amount of sweetness. The tacos de birria were absolutely packed with meat and cheese and of course tons of flavor in every bite! The tortillas themselves weren’t as crunchy as I’d like they were a little on the soggier side but with them being handmade tortillas I’ll let it slide. Overall if yo
Kristian Ording★★★I’d definitely recommend this spot for fresh, authentic and yummy Mexican food. Home made chips from quite thick tortillas were a little oily and not enough salt for me. Salsa definitely home made and very tomato forward and served warm. Hot sauce also homemade but also warm. Nice wide bar with number of seats up front and then an open seating area with mostly 4-top tables. Fun vibe with music playing. Really appreciated the mix of proteins as well as serving styles. The Vulcan and Quesadilla were my favorite. Happy hour deal was awesome - half price draft and also 3 tacos for $10 - essential
Abbie★★★★★They have such good food made in house from all natural ingredients! I always get their birria tacos and they never disappoint.
Brian Bancroft★★★★★Amazing food, Great service (Thank you, Raul). The only disappointment is that we did not eat here before today.
