We've been to the Lobster Pot a few times now and given it expectant grace due to certain events and conditions at the time, but our visit this time left us disappointed to the point of leaving this review. Service was good to begin with, but there's something missing that causes staff confusion when it comes to table service: we were seated quickly, but not offered drinks so we decided to use the QR table ordering instead. Stopped for an evening meal as we we're stopping at the rooms attached. It was fairly quiet and easy to get a table. Food was very nice however some items were not available which was a little disappointing. We all had a main meal and dessert with drinks. We had: Steak and malbec pie, sausage and mash, steak and a burger. Desserts were cheesecake, brownie and toffee sundae.

We were going there for a meal and a drink every time, weekly really, travelling to Bridlington for the seaside or mostly for work. Last time they served us coffee instead of espresso, but we did not say anything, and they charged us £13 for it. We explained that we wanted espresso, not coffee; however, we did not complain about it, but charging us this amount for whatever you served and calling it is not right.
