Great Carvery, We haven’t been since it’s refurbishment but it looks fabulous, great food and drink options. Only down fall is if you haven’t booked it gets busy quickly. Couldn’t eat in the main restaurant so ate in the bar area but even then was still a great place ! Would highly recommend.

Very disappointed with my meal today, have always enjoyed the lasagna here, but since the refurb and probably the use of a new supplier, the lasagna hardly had any pasta in it, was loaded with cheese sauce, and the meat tasted like very cheap beef, with hardly any taste! I never normally leave reviews but felt I had to point this out, as it has actually put me off from eating here.

The pub is really lovely, very spacious and welcoming and nice staff. It was busy and buzzing when we went in and the children had a little play area to let off steam. My only 'negative' was that the prices seemed very steep in comparison to other carvery places. Let me just say the food is lovely, no complaints on the taste department but I think for the price I would at least want more options to put onto my plate it just felt really limited compared to other places which are less money and have lots more options! We had a really nice experience at The Winter Green. Emma, who was working front of house, was very helpful and polite during our visit. She greeted us warmly when we arrived and was attentive throughout without being over the top, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The food was really good as well – fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. I’d definitely recommend the BBQ pulled pork loaded fries and the carvery, both of which were excellent.
