We recently dined at this Italian restaurant and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food itself was quite enjoyable. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening meal. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Our waitress was noticeably rude and unwelcoming from the moment we were seated. It was as if she just wanted her job over and done with as soon as possible. Her overall attitude made the experience less pleasant than it could have been. We had outstanding dining experience thanks to our waiter Paul From the moment we arrived, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. He knew the menu well, offered excellent recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal without being intrusive. His professionalism, positive attitude, and attention to detail made us feel valued as guests. It’s rare to receive service that is both efficient and personal, and he achieved that effortlessly. Okay so, I arrived without a booking to a very quiet restaurant, barely any customers and after having read the reviews which are very mixed I wasn’t sure at all what I was going to get. I stood at the wait to be seated sign by the bar and a man who I can only assume was the owner/manager was chatting to some customers, he looked at me, ignored me and continued his conversation which I considered quite rude, I waited a few more minutes again odd considering there appeared to be almost as many staff as customers when I arrived but anyway, I was seated and given a menu.
