Napkin Required on Substack★★★★★Isshindo is the real deal. It is tucked away in a nondescript hallway right before you hit the Super 88 entrance, and it is a blink and you miss it kind of spot. It is easily the most authentic ramen I've had. The signature Isshindo ramen with tonkotsu broth is rich, creamy, and exactly what you want when the craving hits. You can tell they have a singular focus here.

The beef in the rice dish was all fat in it which I didn't care for, but I guess some people like that. I wanted some hot sauce and was charged an extra dollar for that. I thought that was chintzy. Not bad overall...not the best I've had. It was ok, but I thought it was overrated.
