BBQ rating: B++. I’ve lived in Nashville area for 6 years and literally stumbled upon this place the other day. I’m here to say it’s better than any of the other highly promoted BBQ joints in town. And you get way more bang and taste for your buck. I’d also say this is more in line with what is expected from a well rounded BBQ place. The meat was excellent. Hogwood BBQ was amazing!! 🤩 We just found this BBQ restaurant in Franklin today. So good!!!😊 They have been open 8 years they said. Just off the main road but super easy to find. Nice super clean & neat location with plenty of parking. Outside patio seating available. We chose to eat outside & it was just lovely! 🥰 They have a catering truck that can come to your event! Wouldn’t that be fun!!🤩 We tried their Brisket BBQ sandwiches. I asked for lean cut & that’s what I got. Their BBQ sauce was really good. I added some to my lean brisket. So good! Interesting spot in the cool springs area. They’ve got the pulled pork nailed down and similar to a Texas operation there’s a giant smoker right behind the prep line. Wide selection of meats being smoked. I enjoyed the pulled pork, sausage and turkey the most. Enjoy.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The brisket nestled atop a Colorado Sandwich is simply some of the best smoked beef I've ever had hit my taste buds, blends perfectly with the cheeses and the jalapeno has a bite that was surprising spicy. The restaurant itself is everything a smokehouse should be, sans the hillbilly decor normally found at a BBQ joint and the folks working here are respectful and good at what they do.
